Simulation of self-compacting concrete (SCC) passing ability using the L-box model for sustainable buildings

Abstract The self-compacting concrete (SCC), which is the major innovation of technology 21 st century, has been sustained due to its impact on sustainable construction infrastructures. Various additives have coupled into production SCC improve passing ability, flow, shear stress, dynamic resistance and segregation resistance. flow experimentally measured through various models, include Slump-cone, V-funnel, L-box, U-box, J-ring, etc., by flowability, ratio (passing ability), are determined. In this research paper, L-box model used simulate output condition, (h 2 /h 1 ) SCC, optimize ability for concreting. was estimated recording heights at upstream downstream horizontal leg test box end embedded steel bars. Stress pressure boundary conditions state condition were deployed solve simulation problem model. results show that optimized (flow output), h , falls within appropriate European Guidelines Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) materials.
